The Role

Christ the King College is a joint Church of England and Catholic College on the Isle of Wight, providing a Christian education underpinned by Gospel values and reflecting both Church of England and Catholic traditions. It operates under the auspices of both the Church of England and Catholic Dioceses of Portsmouth.


The school has over 1,100 students on roll, including a Sixth Form College of about 200 students. It is a well-established comprehensive school, which is well supported by parents and highly respected in the community.


We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking candidate to join our successful and vibrant department. Currently we only offer French to our students, therefore, the preferred subject specialism it French. However, additional languages and the desire to increase and enhance the learning of other languages for our students would be desirable. The successful candidate will have the ability and motivation to inspire our students and to enthuse in them a passion for our subjects. Through the continued development of outstanding teaching and learning, you will ensure that our students achieve the highest possible outcomes. We are able to offer this position on a full time or part time basis, please indicate your preference for this in your letter of application. For candidates wishing to relocate to the Isle of Wight we can offer financial support for relocation costs.
